Apotheekwerk

Apotheekwerk is a job board specifically for the pharmacy sector in the Netherlands, serving both job seekers and employers. It is operated by SBA (Stichting Bedrijfsfonds Apotheken), which also collects labor market data to help the sector anticipate workforce issues. The platform supports the BBL (work-study) route for pharmacy assistants through an initiative called 'Apothekersassistent? Ja. Natuurlijk!', launched in 2019 due to labor market shortages.

Job seekers can search vacancies by location with a radius of 10 km, 25 km, or 50 km, and set up email job alerts for new postings. Employers can create an account to post and manage vacancies. For employers falling under the Cao Apotheken collective labor agreement, use of the platform is free of charge, funded by an annual contribution they pay. Employers not covered by that agreement pay €495 per vacancy (excluding VAT). SBA checks eligibility using the employer's PMA number.

Employers can present their company culture and unique characteristics on the platform, helping job seekers find roles that match their values. The platform also provides data for national initiatives, such as 'kans op werk' websites that calculate job prospects based on annual vacancy numbers.
