Big Trades

Big Trades is a networking and jobs platform built for Australian tradies, machine operators, technicians and skilled labourers across all industries. It is free for tradespeople to join. The platform includes a job board where users can view trade jobs and apply using their profile. Employers can post standard listings (30 days on the board, automatic notifications to relevant candidates, in-app messaging, and the option to manage hiring on Big Trades or forward applicants) or featured listings (priority notification, ability to invite up to 20 target candidates, higher search ranking, and an orange border with job highlights). A Package option saves 20% compared to buying five separate standard listings, with a 1-year expiry for credits. Employers can filter candidates by experience, licences, tickets and other criteria.

For tradespeople, Big Trades offers a professional profile to showcase experience, skills and work. Users can set an availability status to let their network know they are looking for work, and generate a free professional CV from their profile with a single click. The platform also includes a digital business card feature for quick connection via scan, direct messaging with other tradies and businesses, and a recommendation feature to collect and leave recommendations.
