Labour Job Market is a free platform for India's unorganised construction workforce — including masons, helpers, mistris, carpenters, painters, electricians, and more — and the contractors and homeowners who hire them. It operates in English and Hindi, and everything works over a phone. Workers can list themselves once, and contractors near them see their trade and rate and call them directly. Contractors can post a job for free, and workers in their area see it and call them with no commission or middleman.

Trust is built into the platform: a worker's phone number is never public and is shown only when a verified contractor chooses to make contact. Contractors verify their number before any worker's contact is revealed. The platform also publishes an open construction wage index with real day-rates by trade computed from live listings, helping both sides agree on fair pay. Users can get a WhatsApp notification when a job opens near them by providing their pincode and WhatsApp number. A 'Near me' feature sorts jobs by distance without sending the user's location off the phone.
