WorkBC Centre Lillooet

WorkBC Centre Lillooet serves job seekers and employers in Lillooet, British Columbia, and the surrounding area. It is funded by the Government of Canada and the Province of British Columbia. The centre provides free programs and services including employment counselling, skills training, disability services, and funding options. It also offers a self-serve resource centre with computers, printers, and phones for job seekers, and maintains a local job board with postings for the Lillooet area.

For job seekers, the centre provides one-on-one assistance with an employment advisor, and services to help with resume improvement, interview preparation, and finding job leads. The job board includes categories such as Accounting, Administrative, Agriculture, Construction, Health Care, Hospitality, Retail, and Trades, and allows filtering by employment type including Casual, Contract, Full-time, Part-time, Permanent, and Seasonal. The centre also offers short-term occupational training and job start supports.

Employers can post job openings on the job board for free, and access a wage subsidy program that covers part of employee wages in exchange for coaching and on-the-job training. The centre offers a dedicated recruitment specialist to help find suitable candidates, and has a database of job seekers for client matching and referrals at no cost to employers.
