Workis

Workis connects workers with short-term jobs that require no long-term commitment and no job interviews. The platform operates in Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia, and its interface can be viewed in Lithuanian, English, or Russian. Next to each job ad, the hourly gross salary is displayed, so you know the pay upfront.

To get started, you need an electronic signature (e.g., Smart ID), a medical certificate, and must pass introductory and work safety tests available on the platform. Some positions also require a food hygiene certificate. Workis employs EU and EFTA citizens, as well as third-country citizens with a permanent residence permit in Lithuania or an EU resident card; Ukrainians with a temporary residence permit in Lithuania are also eligible. Workers registered with the Public Employment Service can take fixed-term contracts through the platform.

Payment is transferred to your bank account within 3–10 working days after the employment contract ends. For employers, Workis handles recruitment, contract termination, and other administrative tasks. The listed prices include employer payments to Sodra and accumulation of holiday and sick pay. Employers can view candidate experience and ratings from other clients before selecting workers.
