Overview
StarterGig is a Philippines-specialist job board for skilled professionals—such as BPO staff, office workers, and fresh graduates—moving into remote and part-time roles. Every gig is hand-reviewed before posting, and listings are beginner-friendly, requiring no prior experience. The site covers fields like virtual assistance, content writing, graphic design, and web development.
Employers can post a gig for free to screen applicants themselves. Paid options include a Featured Posting ($69 per role for 30 days) with placement and email promotion, a Founding Partner Plan ($149/month for up to 5 active postings with featured placement and support), and a Curated Shortlist service ($129 per role for up to 15 verified candidates within 5 business days). StarterGig also offers a matching service where they hand-pick and vet candidates, including an AI workflow test.
What stands out
- Hand-reviewed gigs: Every listing is checked before it goes live, reducing spam or low-quality posts.
- Beginner-friendly: No experience required for any listing, making it accessible for first-time freelancers.
- Free posting option: Employers can publish a role at no cost and screen applicants themselves.
- Curated shortlist service: Employers receive up to 15 verified, responsive candidates within 5 business days for $129 per role.
